My Mother is a Hero!
My mother kept this horrible part of her life deep inside of her for over 35 years, wanting to shield us. But when the Holocaust deniers began crawling out from their holes, she decided that she had to speak out ... she had to do what she could to ensure that this memory would not be forgotten!
This is a story about my mother. But no story about her would be complete without him. Today is their anniversary! This would have been their 72nd!
Theirs was a True Love story. With the war and with her in a death march and a concentration camp and with him in a work camp, their young lives were oh so hard. But sometimes the universe does give a damn! Their story began at a Laurel & Hardy movie. Through all of their hardships and the horrors they faced, their beginning was a light-hearted one! And a much deserved one it was!
I miss them!
Thank you ... that means a lot to me.
I feel your sadness.
That’s a pretty incredible story
